Very pleased to announce the FCCJ has a brand new restaurant service provider. Silvano Borroni, the man behind Trattoria Il Buttero, and many other concept Italian restaurants in Tokyo, will create a menu suitable for the FCCJ's new Marunouchi location. Old favourites such as the "Correspondents' Lunch" and Vichyssoise will be maintained, while new items added, including seasonal dishes. Executive Chef Noe Bianconi who led the Il Buttero team for five years will bring his passion, and knowledge to the FCCJ.

Food service begins with a very limited menu for Saturday Night Live, January 5th. As one would expect from the lineage of Il Buttero, the menu is limited only for such a well known restaurant. Appetizers will include "Aubergines au gratin with Swordfish", Mains include Risotto, Paccheri, and Filet Mignon, Fish will have a selection of Sea Bass, and Fried Calamari.

Beginning January 7th, with hours still reduced, Silvano and Chef Noe will commence regular Main Bar service with an abbreviated menu that will incorporate the self serve salad and soup bar with an expanded menu based on the "Correspondents' Lunch". By the end of January, Members will enjoy a full menu in the Main Bar.
