Contemporary Singer-Song Writer
Born in Japan, MIHO spent much of her early life in New Zealand, where she got her initial vocal training and won a National Silver Award with her school choir. After graduating from Auckland University, she launched her singing career, becoming a member of “ENDY & Girls” in 2001 and performing oldies at live clubs in Tokyo. She also performed as part of the acoustic duo “Sanderçonia.” Her first solo CD was titled "Kizuna" ("Bond"). She was also a member of "Cocogrunge" which released the Sony CD "ALOHA! J-hawaiian breezin'" in 2008. The multitalented MIHO played the lead character in the Joseph Wong film “Onshinfutsu" ("Line Disconnect”) and contributed original songs, including “Imagination World,” to the film score.
MIHO will be backed by pianist Frederic Viennot and Aki Togashi on cello. It's an unusual ensemble with a unique take on standards by the likes of Carole King and Sting and other pop songs in lounge-style arrangements with Miho's originals added to the mix.
