Mr. Morimoto is a graduate from the National Defense Academy of Japan who served on an escort ship of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. After gaining experience working with Applied Materials Japan, Inc., in 2003, he founded UBIC, Inc., a provider of high-technology solutions for assisting clients in handling cross-border litigation, which is the only listed company in the business segment of litigation assisting services.

UBIC, Inc. successfully launched the world's first e-discovery assisting tools supporting CJK (Chinese, Japanese and Korean) languages, incorporating the Predictive Coding® technology generated from the outcome of artificial intelligence studies. These e-discovery assisting tools are being used in the most high-profile cross-border litigations in the world. UBIC, Inc. was listed on TSE Mothers in 2007 and NASDAQ in 2013.

Mr. Morimoto is attracting attention as one of the few Japanese entrepreneurs who achieved dual listing on stock exchanges both in Japan and the U.S. in a short time. Also, taking the unique technology cultivated in the litigation support field, UBIC now utilizes behavior informatics to analyze big data and other information collections.

Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Board member of The Institute of Digital Forensics (NPO), Member of The Association for the Study of Security Science. he has published various books on discovery and forensics procedures, including primers for use by practitioners. He has also written articles on forensics, risk management and eDiscovery matters for specific industries including law enforcement and corporate legal departments. He recently published a book in the U.S. titled eDiscovery-Japan: A Pathway for U.S. Attorneys to Do Business with Asian Corporations. Mr. Morimoto was born in Osaka, 1966.
