It will be an East-meets-West musical evening as Masumi Timsun, on koto, flutist Jun Kubo and pianist Emy Todoroki-Schwartz collaborate on a medley of classical, jazz, tango and pop music.

Masumi, who holds a master's degree in koto from the Seiha School of Traditional Japanese Music, has recorded several albums with the world-renowned band, Pink Martini, and has joined the group in concerts at Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl, Grand Rex Theatre in Paris, Tokyo Kokusai Forum, Orchard Hall, and Tokyo Billboard Live. She has two CDs of her own: Matcha Latte, featuring koto and violin; and Pacific Bridge, which features koto and mbira, a traditional African instrument.

Jun, an award-winning flutist, has performed as a soloist and chamber musician throughout the world. She is a member of the Pan Asian Chamber Jazz Ensemble, whose album "Naima" received enthusiastic reviews. Her first album in Japan as the leader of Fevbre, will be released this summer. She has studied at Juilliard, University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, and New York University.

A Tokyo native and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Emy Todoroki-Schwartz has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician worldwide. She made her New York solo recital debut in 2009 at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall as a winner of the annual Artists International Auditions. She has appeared in recitals with world-renowned artists such as Naoko Tanaka, Ann Crumb, and Jacqueline Horner-Kwiatek of Anonymous 4, and has performed piano concerts with conductors Brett Mitchell and Michael Lankester.
