Good news for early risers!

Mr. Tsuyoshi Komori
President, CORESCO Co.
Senior Fellow, Mercer Japan
Representative Director, Let's Talk Foundation

Date: Tuesday, November 4, 2014, 7:30-8:45

Topic: Vision, Activities and Future Roles of "Let's Talk Foundation", Organization for the Tsunami-Affected Coastal Areas in Northeast Japan.

Speaker's profile:
Tsuyoshi Komori ("Komo") founded his own consulting company, CORESCO, in October 2014 and has been providing advisory service for major companies in areas such as leadership development, talent management, organization/HR program development, and diversity management. In many cases his clients have managerial issues around globalization, in which he has strength throughout his consulting career.

Prior to founding CORESCO, Tsuyoshi worked for Mercer from 2005 to 2014. He joined Mercer's Japan operation in July 2005, and was appointed as Representative Director and President of Mercer's Japan operations in March 2007. He then became Mercer FAR East Market Leader in 2013. After seven years of senior management role, he shifted to Senior Fellow to leverage his managerial experience and consulting expertise for the clients in August 2014. Today, while managing his own company, he still works with Mercer as a contractor and maintains Senior Fellow title when engaging in Mercer-related works. At Mercer, he led various consulting activities, in particular for clients undergoing the critical stage of M&A and globalization. From 2011 through mid-2014, he also drove Mercer's diversity and inclusion efforts in Asia Pacific/Growth Markets Region as Chairman for Region's Diversity Council.

Before joining Mercer, he worked for McKinsey & Company, where he supported numerous global and Japanese clients on critical top management issues. As a member of the healthcare practice, as well as the retail and consumer goods practice, he spent approximately four years at the Japan office and a year at the New Jersey office in the United States. Prior to McKinsey, he worked for Nippon Life Insurance Company, where he worked in the personnel department and at the sale and marketing headquarters.
Since 2011, he has been running his personal disaster-aid activities for the tsunami-affected coastal areas in northeast Japan. To make his commitment a decade-long one, he established the "Let's Talk Foundation" in March 2012.

He holds an MBA from Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a BA from Hitotsubashi University. He is a Karate and swordsmanship practitioner as well as a weekend farmer and a certified whiskey expert.
