Pianist/vocalist Kayo Hiraki is one of the few Japanese jazz musicians firmly established on New York City's jazz scene, where she plays with some of the best. After a session with Kayo, the legendary bassist Ron Carter said: "Rarely have I heard a musician as gifted as Ms. Hiraki. To hear her play is to experience the joy of her creative ability and the depth of her experience as a talented performer." WOW!

A child prodigy, Kayo attended Kunitachi Music College and won recognition in Japan as a composer, arranger and performer before taking on the Big Apple. Check samples of her interpretation of jazz standards and originals from her 5 CDs at her web site: Just as for her last appearance at the FCCJ, Kayo will be joined by Cozy Shiozaki playing guitar and Shinya Yamamoto on bass.
Come hear her for yourself and see if you agree with Ron Carter!

It's sure to be another evening of sparkling entertainment at the FCCJ's Saturday Nite Live. As always, it's FREE. No music charge. No cover charge. You can't beat the FCCJ's SNL for an economical night out in Tokyo.
