Jonathan Katzandy wulf

Two true veterans of the Tokyo instrumental jazz scene are teaming up for what will surely be another Saturday Nite to remember.

Pianist Jonathan Katz is a familiar face on the keyboards at the FCCJ. A grad of the Eastman School of Music and based in Tokyo since 1991, Jonathan's lyrical, swinging piano style have earned him a dedicated following. The versatile pianist has backed such jazz legends as Ray Brown, Lew Tabackin and Joe Lee Wilson and has also performed with the NHK Symphony and the Tokyo Philharmonic. Jonathan also runs the 19-piece Tokyo Big Band.

A Canadian native who studied at McGill University in Montreal, saxophonist Andy Wulf has also played with a who's who of jazz and popular artists. In Japan since the early nineties he has established himself as a standby for both studio work and live performances as well as arranging and composing.

For a taste of what's in store, check out Jonathan's website at and Andy's at

If you need any more incentive to spend your Saturday Nite at the FCCJ, remember that it is FREE! No entry fee. No music charge. Just sit down, relax, have a drink and enjoy some of the best live music to be had anywhere.
