Acoustic Jazz

Born in 1963, Hiroshi began studying piano at five. He later began learning jazz at the age of sixteen and just three short years later, at the tender age of nineteen, made his professional debut. Afterwards, he cut his chops playing in New York and in Spain. With one leg planted firmly in the Jazz world and the other in Flamenco, his unique talent and performances both original and creative continue to dazzle fans domestically and abroad. His playing style is infused with a wide range of musical elements and can be said to be an art form all it's own. It's classical finesse, elegant sense of harmony, jazz improvisation technique, and it's sensuous, raw Flamenco rhythmic inflections all seamlessly combine to create a magnificent sound that captures the audience's heart and doesn't let go. In 2006, He released the album"La Sonrisa"on the Pony Canyon label and in 2010, played to high praise in Russia, as a Japan/Russia Cultural Exchange Goodwill Ambassador. In 2016, He released the album"Trio Transition" On the Pony Canyon label. At present, in addition to performing, he is in great demand as an arranger and producer.

Born 1961. Chika grew up listening to jazz. Started playing piano and singing at 17 and had her jazz debut 1984. Having Tony Bennett approve of her singing, she released her first album"So in love". She began her overseas career in 1995, performing at the Apollo theater, the Newport jazz festival, and the Monterey jazz festival. After that she returned to Japan her home country to raise her children and to continue her career in Japan, then changed her stage name from Chika Singer to Chika Toyota. She was then awarded the Japan jazz vocal best award. In November of 2017 she released her 11th album "Mama~大好きなあなたへ" .
And remember, it's free. No cover charge. No music charge. You just can't beat SNL for an exciting, entertaining night out in Tokyo.
