Ramblin' Steve Gardner
Tokyo's Premier Delta Bluesman
Steve is the original Saturday Night Live performer, going back to even before we called it Saturday Night Live.
The Mississippi native is unquestionably Tokyo's most accomplished blues guitarist -- and the most popular FCCJ SNL performer.
As usual, Steve will be playing an eclectic selection of American Roots and Blues music, including tunes not often heard in these parts. His repertoire includes numbers made famous by Mississippi John Hurt in 1929, tunes from the Carter Family's original 1928 Bristol sessions, and the very first million-selling hit ever! Arthur Collins' 1905 Edison Cylindar Record "The Preacher and the Bear."
Steve says: "Button up your shoes and let down your hair if you still have any; grab hold of your sweetheart and come on out for an X-tra Large GOOD TIME." Check out his web site at http://stevegardner.info.
And, as always, it's FREE. Just pay for your food and drink and you can enjoy some of the best blues guitar picking heard west of the Sumida River.
