Celebrate the UNESCO World Heritage designation for the Tomioka Silk Mill with Gunma Governor Masaaki Osawa for an evening of scintillating entertainment, delectable local cuisine and exhilarating Jizake.

Gunma honors the soon to be awarded UNESCO World Heritage designation of their Tomioka Silk Mill which dates back to the Meiji Era and they want to celebrate with the FCCJ.

Gunma Prefecture, just a short train ride from Tokyo has many attractions. Most famous of which are nearly 100 hot spring spots some dating back over 1000 years, including the highly-esteemed Kusatsu, Ikaho, Minakami and Shima Onsen with excellent medicinal benefits.

Governor Osawa will enlighten us on some of these and will be joined by one of the more popular Onsen Okami who will later present a door prize of an Onsen stay for a couple.

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the presentation by Governor Osawa and then a sumptuous buffet awaits along with the Jizake of Gunma brewers on hand for the event.

The high-spirited Yagibushi Festival Dance will be performed by the Kiryu Yagibushi Team to the rhythms of unique barrel drum beating.
