Le Mans, the world's most prestigious sports car race, will take place in June and Japan will have a team in the starting line-up. The privately-owned CARGUY Racing team recently won all four races in the Asian Le Mans Series and has qualified as the only Asian team for the prestigious race in France. They will use a car works supplied Ferrari.

CARGUY Racing team is owned by businessman Takeshi Kimura – who also drives – and is managed by driver Kei Cozzolino. Cozzolino is a former Formula 3 and Formula Nippon driver who also raced for Lamborghini for a couple of years.

CARGUY Racing team is also negotiating a tie-up with former Sauber Formula 1 boss Monisha Kaltenborn.Kaltenborn is a pioneer in Formula 1, becoming the first woman to be named a team principal and CEO.She was head of the Sauber F1 team for five years (2012-17) out of a total of nearly 20 years with the team, which included time with Japanese driver Kamui Kobayashi.

Kaltenborn, Kimura and Cozzolino will come to the club to outline their plans for the Le Mans race in June and future projects, as well as to talk about cars, Formula 1 and racing in general.
