Description:

"Advancing Mobility For Future Generations"

In the past, car design was invariably about going faster, getting bigger, looking cuter, but the parameters for car design are changing rapidly as the automotive world attempts to tackle global warming, dwindling natural resources and changing demographics. The world's car companies are taking different approaches to dealing with these issues. While the hybrid car is no longer a car of the future, there is still no consensus as to what kind of car future generations will need.

In Japan, however, one thing is certain: Car manufacturers must provide cars that the country's aging population can handle. By 2030, it is estimated that a third of the country's population will be over 65, meaning cars will have to offer greater mobility to their users.

Honda President Takeo Fukui will address this and other issues in a press luncheon at the FCCJ on Feb. 27, so to find out where the world of cars might be heading, make your reservation now.

Sandwich: Smoked salmon, avocado & dill cream cheese baguette.
Hot Lunch: Grilled cod fillet with baby potatoes, mizuna salad & olive tapanade oil.
Dining Room Special: Tandoori spiced chicken breast, coconut peanut rice with cucumber raita & curry oil.
