Smarmy British TV talk show host David Frost (Sheen) is eager to set up a series of interviews with the recently impeached president, Richard Nixon (Langella), in an attempt to boost his sagging career. He figures he can extract an apology from Tricky Dick for his role in the Watergate scandal. Nixon accepts the challenge (for a hefty fee), convinced that he can win his way back into the hearts of his fellow Americans. This Oscar-nominated film makes the ensuing battle of wits unexpectedly entertaining-and ultimately, surprising.
