As Hurricane Katrina approaches New Orleans, Daisy (Blanchett) spends her final hours listening to her daughter reading the diary of Benjamin Button (Pitt), who was born an old man and eventually aged to become a baby. Somewhere in the middle of this reverse trajectory, he and Daisy are the same-seeming age, and can finally consummate their love. A lush, melancholic tale, the film features extraordinary performances from its stars, both in youth and senility.
