On Oct. 2 the International Olympic Committee will select the site of the 2016 Olympics. Tokyo is fighting off challenges from Chicago, Madrid and Rio de Janeiro and the competition is said to be the closest race ever.

On Friday (tomorrow, Sep. 18), Ichiro Kono, CEO of the Tokyo bid committee, will be at the club with former Olympic athlete Mikako Kotani to deliver an update and take your questions.

*This will be the final chance to hear from Kono and Kotani before they depart for Copenhagen.

Kono is actively involved in anti-doping and helped found the Japan Anti-Doping Agency in 2001 and worked with the World Anti-Doping Agency at the 2002 and 2004 Olympic Games and the 2006 Commonwealth Games. Kotani is a former Olympic medalist in synchronized swimming and is currently chair of the Athletes' Commission and an Executive Board Member for the 2016 Bid Committee.
