Steve Gardner is the original Saturday Live performer, going back to even before we called it Saturday Night Live. Steve, who hails from southern Mississippi, is arguably Tokyo's most accomplished blues guitarist -- and without doubt the most popular FCCJ SNL performer. He mixes his own interpretation of blues numbers -- both well-known and obscure -- with an increasing repertoire of original tunes. Steve has four CDs out and they will probably be available for sale. He recorded a fifth this past summer but it won't be released until next year. But we're still likely to hear some new tunes.

Joining Steve this week will be Hisa Nakase on upright bass and Bill Benfield on mandolin.
