Once a stable democratic country in the ASEAN, Thailand has been experiencing turbulent and bloody confrontations, threatening its proud history and economy.

Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij is now in Tokyo for urgent talks with Japanese government and business leaders on ways to bring normalcy to the country by encouraging Japanese tourists to visit Thailand. The finance minister will meet the press at the club to talk about steps to bring the volatile situation to an end and step up efforts to restore peace and stability to the major power of the ASEAN community.
