The Huw Lloyd/Jin Sakai Quartet
Straight-Ahead Jazz

Huw Lloyd began playing saxophone in his teens but switched to clarinet when he fell in love with its unique and under-used tone. His influences include both New Orleans and modern jazz.

Jin Sakai is a subtle guitarist in the tradition of jazz great Jim Hall. Based in Kanagawa Prefecture, this is a rare appearance for him in Tokyo. Huw and Jin have been playing together for over 8 years and have developed a personal and　communicative approach to music-making that they apply to standard and modern songs alike. Backed by an equally sensitive rhythm section, this group is sure to add something special to your Saturday night.
