By popular demand, vivacious Machiko Miura will return to FCCJ’s SNL April 20, 2024
with her electrifying repertoires including American oldies, Broadway tunes, French chanson and more.
Born and raised in Saiki City, Oita of Kyushu, Machiko received higher education in Yokohama and pursued double-career in Tokyo as a business person and singer until she became a professional singer two decades ago. While she sings at live houses in Tokyo and Kyushu, she is anxious to return to Hong Kong to sing for her fans who packed Hong Kong Fringe Club and other venues. Machiko comes this time with her new pianist Nori Ochiai. Leaving behind his music career in Japan, Nori moved to New York in 2005, restudied piano and jazz at New School University, and then worked with the world class artists in the City of Big Apple. Now working active in the Tokyo jazz scene since he returned in 2015. Bassist Koji Yamashita, a long time Machiko Group member, will also be there to spice up the evening.
