SHERYL BRIDGEWATER and BERYL HAWKINS are a multi-talented vocal duo known as "The Bridgewater Sisters" from New York City. This dynamic duo is known on the Tokyo music scene as the twin sisters with the lush harmonies, radiant voices and larger-than-life theatrical personalities. Everywhere they go, audiences are captivated by their passion, energy and vibrant shows. Over the years, they have created an exciting musical sound, which combines the genres of the blues, Latin, pop, R & B, jazz and gospel. For this show, the duo will be joined by the dazzling pianist/keyboardist, Shion Lee, and the incredible musician, Montana King, on congas and percussion.

Throughout their performing career, they have learned from the best in the business and taken their musical art to a new level from their beginning roots in the jazz idiom. Touring in clubs, musical shows, live events and weddings have taken them to the Caribbean, New York and many cities in Japan including Niigata, Sapporo, Osaka, Hiroshima and Fukuoka.

Sheryl's artistic career dates back to the late 1970's when she toured as a keyboardist with The Stylistics, Cleftones, Drifters and Shirelles in Europe and the Caribbean. Beryl joined "The Bridgewater Sisters" in the mid-70's and the vocal duo first started touring in the Caribbean and New York. After moving to Japan in the late 1980's, the group has appeared in numerous shows throughout Japan.
