FCCJ Toastmasters Second Session

Time: 2009 Apr 06 12:15 - 13:45
Summary:

FCCJ Media Room

-- LIMITED NUMBER OF PLACES STILL AVAILABLE --

Description:

In February, we held an organizing meeting for FCCJ Toastmasters, a club-within-a-club designed to help members develop public-speaking skills. Thanks to an enthusiastic response we're now planning to hold lunch sessions twice a month on Mondays.

There is still a chance to join if you register by Friday noon for our second session by contacting the FCCJ Front Desk. Please specify your meal choice.

You don't need to be an eloquent orator to join. In fact, if public-speaking scares you stiff this can help. But you do need advanced English-language skills to participate.

What is this?

Developed over eight decades, "Toastmastering" is a method that brings novice and veteran together to learn public speaking... by doing it. A supportive atmosphere builds confidence, friendly competition sharpens skills and a wealth of educational tools create opportunities to learn at any level. Toastmastering takes place around the world in a network of small clubs-usually less than 50 members-each operating autonomously under charter from Toastmasters International, a California-based non-profit corporation that provides the methodology and learning tools. Japan has more than 60 clubs: English, Japanese and bilingual.

If you would like to participate in FCCJ Toastmasters, please join our
Apr. 6 organizing lunch by registering with the Front Desk.
