from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
A native of Cardiff, Wales, Paul has been a performing musician for more than 25 years. He relocated to Tokyo last June from Hawaii, where he was a nightly performer at restaurants, bars and other various events, as well as on local radio. Equally at home on guitar, mandolin or bouzouki, he has been performing Celtic folk as his main solo act for the last four years.
During seven years in Hawaii he was mandolin player in the long-standing Americana 6-piece 'The Lost Pelican Band''. In 2003 he was performing with Hawaiian music legend Liko Martin and was a guest on his "Surf and Bay Blues" CD. He is also one half of the eclectic 'Mahalo Brothers'' with inspirational world music singer-songwriter Jivan.
He has several current CDs, the most recent of which are "Live on KKCR" (2006), "Live'n Kickin' At Da Caffe" with Bill Dick/fiddle (2006) and "Ireland Style" (2007), a compilation of live and studio recordings made in Hawaii 2004-07.
