The speech and Q & A will be in Japanese with English interpretation.
Description:Already one of this country's best golf players, Shingo Katayama wrote a new chapter in the sport for Japan earlier this year when he came fourth in the 2009 Masters at the August National Golf Club, equaling the best showing in the tournament by a Japanese player.
Known as "Cowboy Shingo," due to his preferred headgear, 36-year-old Katayama has topped the Japan Golf Tour money ranking five times, most recently in 2008. It is considered likely that he will repeat that feat again this year.
A professional since 1995, Katayama has won 26 tournaments on the Japan Tour and competed in numerous tournaments overseas. His fourth place finish at the 2001 PGA Championship was his most notable performance prior to his Masters result this year.
How does it feel to compete against such golfing luminaries as Tiger Woods? How does he handle the pressure of that last hole putt? And what's with that cowboy hat? Come ask the man himself.
