IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!
Summary:
The Andy Bevan and Steve Falk Duo
World Music on didgeridoo and marimba
The marimba and the didgeridoo are two of the most unusual instruments in the world. Put them together and you've got an evening of otherworldly World Music.
Andy Bevan--didgeridoo, saxophone, flute and various percussion instruments--and Steve Falk, who plays marimba, are both Australians steeped in classical music and jazz who separately explored various Asian musical traditions and brought all these influences together here in Japan. The result is an entrancing mix of earthy tones and unusual rhythms. Andy and Steve play a mix of their own compositions with digressions into world music and their unique take on classical standards.
