The Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development's (OECD) latest report on Japan will be released late afternoon on Wednesday. Prior to its official publication the Club will host OECD Japan/Korea Desk head Randall S. Jones to present the report.

It looks at the reforms needed to help the country strengthen its long-term economic prospects as it emerges from the worst recession in 50 years. Come to the FCCJ to hear from Jones about the report, his view on the Japanese economy and what the new DPJ government means for the recovery.

During his 20 years at the OECD, Jones has helped write numerous economic surveys of Japan and Korea and of several European countries. Prior to joining the OECD he worked as a staff economist at the U.S. Council of Economic Advisers, as senior economist at the Japan Economic Institute and at the U.S. State Department.
