IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!
Summary:
Kayo Hiraki
Piano & Vocal Jazz Trio
Pianist/Vocalist Kayo Hiraki is one of the few Japanese jazz musicians
really established on New York City's jazz scene, where she plays with
some of the best. After a session with her, Ron Carter, the legendary
bassist said: "Rarely have I heard a musician as gifted as Ms. Hiraki.
To hear her play is to experience the joy of her creative ability and
the depth of her experience as a talented performer." WOW!
A child prodigy, Kayo attended Kunitachi Music College and won
recognition in Japan as a composer, arranger and performer before
taking on the Big Apple. Check samples of her interpretation of jazz
standards and originals from her 5 CDs at her web site:

Playing in a trio with drums and bass back-up, Hiraki has become a
Saturday Night Live favorite. Come and hear her for yourself and see if
you agree with Ron Carter!
NO INTEREST IN LIVE MUSIC? Don't let that keep you away from your club.
Every Saturday night the club's Sushi Bar is magically transformed into
the legendary Shimbun Alley Bar for those who prefer a quiet, cozy
atmosphere that still provides the FCCJ's friendly service and great
food and drink.
