The Entertainment Committee presents "Heartful Concert in Spring" on Thursday, March 25, 2010.
Taemi Kohama is one of the most successful sopranos of her generation, having achieved extraordinary international acclaim as a soprano singer.
Ms. Kohama is a graduate of Tokyo National University of Arts and Music, where she studied with Ryosuke Hatanaka. While she was a student, Ms. Kohama was invited to Switzerland by noted Professor Dr. Elilzabeth Schwartzkopf subsequently, she was awarded a grant from the Swiss government to continue her studies at the Zurick University of Music. She also studied Italian opera with Maestro Antonio Tonini in Milan.
Ms. Kohama made her European debut at the Brauenshweig Theater in Germany, singing the role of Elizabeth in Tannhäuser. Following this successful debut, she extended her contract with the Brauenshweig Theater, appearing as Elsa in Lohengrin.
The program will include『Sakura』,『Spring』,Opera -Cavalleria Rusuticana-『Voi lo sapete, o mamma』, 『Intermezzo』and more. We are very happy to have Taemi Kohama and Yoshiko Kohama, pianist, at FCCJ.

～Heartful Concert in Spring～

エンターテイメント委員会では、来る3月25日（木）に世界的ソプラノ歌手である小濱妙美さんとピアニストと編曲の小濱良子さん姉妹を迎え、『春のハートフルコンサート』を催すことになりました。
小濱さんは、東京芸大を卒業し、日本音楽コンクール声楽部門で優勝後、パヴァロッティ・コンクールやチャイコフスキー・コンクール等、数々の国際コンクールに入賞。1990年のオペラ『ドン・ジョヴァンニ』（藤原歌劇団）でデビュー。以来、イタリアとドイツでオペラ歌手としての研鑚を積み、『タンホイザー』のエリザベト役（1993）を始めとし、『ノルマ』、『コシ・ファン・トゥッテ』等で主演。日本でも新国立劇場開場記念のオペラ『ローエングリン』、『エフゲニー・オーネギン』、『蝶々夫人』、『トスカ』などの主役を演じ、絶賛を博しました。また、モーツアルト『レクイエム』、ヴェルディ『レクイエム』、2006年5月　NY – Carnegie Hall にてソロリサイタル、 2009年6月　東京、新国立劇場にて「修善寺物語」（人間国宝坂田藤十郎演出）に出演広範な演奏活動を続けています。

今回のプログラムは、小濱さんの幅広いレパートリーから、第一部で日本古謡『さくら』、団伊玖磨『花の街』、シューベルト『春の信仰』ラフマニノフ『春の水』等、また、第二部ではイースターのシチリアを舞台にしたオペラ、マスカーニ作曲“カヴァレリア・ルスティカーナ”から『ママも知る通り』等が予定されています。
