Sugar Quartet
Smooth Jazz

It's rare for Saturday Night Live to host a performance group as internationalized as the membership of the FCCJ is itself. But this week, the Sugar Quartet shows that members from different countries really can smoothly blend into a harmonious whole. The group is made up of Kiwi Simon Koperu on bass, Italian Alessio D'Allesandro on drums, Australian Kai Ruthrof on keys and piano, and English frontman Marcus Pittman on sax and vocals.

The Sugar Quartet has become a fixture on the Tokyo jazz scene, regularly playing at Sin Italian Restaurant in Aoyama, A971 in Midtown and Cohiba Bar in Nishi Azabu. Come and join them at the FCCJ's Saturday Night Live for an evening of relaxing and enjoyable smooth jazz.
