The Mike Price Jazz Quartet

Trumpeter Mike Price embodies "The Joy of Jazz." The veteran performer has become an SNL favorite for pleasing audiences with his renditions of jazz standards and his own original compositions. Mike got his start in the 1960s with the Stan Kenton and Buddy Rich Orchestras and first came to Japan in the 1970s touring with the acclaimed Toshiko Akiyoshi/Lew Tabackin Big Band. Mike returned in 1989 on a United States National Endowment for the Arts exchange program and the opportunity to perform convinced him to stay on. Over the past 2 decades, Mike has become a Tokyo jazz institution, playing with small groups, backing leading jazz vocalists and leading his own big band.

This time Mike will be backed by Hiroshi Tanaka on piano, Kohji Yamashita playing bass and drummer Yoshinobu Inagaki. Come and experience the joy of jazz through the vibes of the Mike Price Jazz Quartet.
