As Jacob (Mikkelsen) worries about the imminent bankruptcy of the Bombay orphanage he manages, he suddenly receives an offer from Jorgen (Lassgard), a wealthy Danish businessman wishing to secure the children's welfare. But to obtain this financial assistance Jacob is required to meet his benefactor in Copenhagen. Upon his arrival, Jacob is invited to attend the wedding of Jorgen's daughter (Christensen). At the reception, Jacob discovers that his link to Jorgen goes much deeper than he realized, and the walls he has built around himself come tumbling down.
