Description:

Walt Kowalski (Eastwood), a grumpy widower and Korean War veteran, dislikes his neighbors, who are of Hmong origin. One evening, Walt surprises Thao (Vang), who is trying to steal his beloved 1972 Gran Torino as part of a gang initiation rite. Walt and Thao -- who is being bullied into joining the gang -- strike up a tentative friendship. Soon after, Walt saves Thao and his sister from a vicious attack by the gang. Walt’s bravery, while applauded by the neighborhood, ignites several acts of revenge, gradually putting Walt himself in the line of enemy fire.
