IT'S SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE!!

Time: 2009 Oct 03 18:30 - 21:00
Summary:

Kev Gray & The Gravy Train
A Singer-Songwriter and his Band

Description:

Formed just in 2008, Kev Gray & The Gravy Train are on the way to becoming one of Japan's hottest live bands. Dazzling Spanish guitars, South American percussion, and a killer trombone drive the melodies and vocals of the British singer-songwriter Kev Gray, who mixes jazz, lounge, folk, gospel, blues and bossa nova into something familiar, but refreshingly new. Well-known on the Japanese music scene, Kev won the Gaijin Sounds 2008 award for his song, "How The Story Ends." A veteran of several bands, Kev has performed throughout Japan and even at Bar Aruba, in New York City, and Folk Club Passim in Boston. He has a string of successful CDs on the market with his band's new CD, "Antidote," to be released in November.

Get a taste of the music at Kev's website, www.hemlockmusic.com, and then come hear Kev Gray & The Gravy Train live and in person at the FCCJ's Saturday Night Live!

NO INTEREST IN LIVE MUSIC? Don't let that keep you away from your club. Every Saturday night the club's Sushi Bar is magically transformed into the legendary Shimbun Alley Bar for those who prefer a quiet, cozy atmosphere that still provides the FCCJ's friendly service and great food and drink.
