FCCJ Regular member Khandaker Anisur Rahman is a Bangladeshi photojournalist who has lived in Japan for more than twenty years. His photos offer a glimpse of Bangladesh's beautiful landscape, the lives of its people, fashion, festivals, as well as its political activities.

"As a photojournalist, I feel it a privilege to show my images to journalist colleagues at our club in Tokyo," says Khandaker. "Bangladesh has a positive image in Japan and our two countries enjoy a cordial and friendly relationship based on understanding and mutual trust."

Khandaker Anisur Rahman

Khandaker Anisur Rahman is the manager of Drik-Japan news photo agency, a branch of Drik Bangladesh. The agency's goal is to promote the photographic activities of Bangladeshis around the world. It has held exhibitions at the Sirius gallery in Shinjuku and at the Cosmos gallery in Meguro.

Khandaker started taking photos at the age of ten. After completing a course on photography at the University of Dhaka, he worked as a photographer for a number of Bangladeshi newspapers and journals before moving over to Japan in 1988. He also works as a primary school teacher in Yokohama.
