Time: 2009 Nov 07 18:30 - 20:45
Summary:

The Bridgewater Sisters
Rockin' Pops

Description:

The Bridgewater Sisters -- Sheryl Bridgewater and Beryl Hawkins -- are known throughout Tokyo for their lush harmonies, radiant voices and larger-than-life personalities. Over the years, they have created an exciting musical sound, which combines the genres of the blues, Latin, pop, R & B, jazz and gospel. For this show, the duo will be joined by the dazzling keyboardist, Shion Lee, James Norwood on bass and guitar, and Ko Kanza on drums.

The two grew up in New York City, absorbing the many musical influences there. Sheryl's artistic career dates back to the late 1970's when she toured as a keyboardist with The Stylistics, Cleftones, Drifters and Shirelles in Europe and the Caribbean. "The Bridgewater Sisters" started performing on their own, touring in the Caribbean and New York. After moving to Japan in the late 1980's, the group has appeared in numerous venues throughout Japan. For an evening of pulsating energy, cool vibes, and fabulous entertainment, come on out and check out this dynamic duo and their dynamic band -- "The Bridgewater Sisters." Does it get any better than this?

NOTE: Because of scheduled maintenance on the Denki Building's electrical equipment the last set will end at 8:45 and everyone must leave the bar by 10 pm. Your understanding would be appreciated.

NO INTEREST IN LIVE MUSIC? Don't let that keep you away from your club. Every Saturday night the club's Sushi Bar is magically transformed into the legendary Shimbun Alley Bar for those who prefer a quiet, cozy atmosphere that still provides the FCCJ's friendly service and great food and drink.
