Language:

Summary:
Jett Edwards
Singer-Songwriter
Live Unplugged

Description:
NOTE: THIS EVENT STARTS AT 7PM

Bassist, vocalist, producer, and funk maker Jett Edwards brings a unique blend of country, gospel and soul influences to bear on his own compositions which he will be playing--along with tunes by the likes of Eric Clapton, Charley Pride, Sam Cooke and Ray Charles--at this week's Saturday Night Live.

Born and bred in North Carolina, Jett got an early musical start, learning multiple instruments from his father, the gospel singer Hiawatha Edwards. Jett recorded his first composition, "Lonely Man," at the age of 14 and won a Grammy Award as a bassist with the legendary Five Blind Boys Of Mississippi. As a producer he worked at Michael Jackson’s Family Label and with such artists as George Benson, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross, and the Temptations. And he has performed with Elton John, Edgar Winter, Dionne Warwrick, Prince, and Paul McCartney among many others. Jett's performance at the club's Haiti benefit in February was one of the night's highlights. He knows how to get a crowd up and rockin' and he wants us all to wear our boots & hats.

At this special edition of Saturday Night Live, Jett will start playing at 7pm and go straight through, concert style. For more about Jett and to sample his music, visit his website at http://www.jettedwards.com.
