Photographer Jun Takagi has shot many of the most famous people in Japan.

"Most of my shootings are portrait sessions tacked onto the end of interviews," says Takagi, "So, after an hour long grilling, the subject gets a chance to 'relax' before the camera while they plan their quickest escape route. Along with the usual difficulties of never having enough time, and sometimes not enough space, I'm always fighting to keep that sense of 'wow' in check."

In the Main Bar will be a collection of portraits of well known figures from pop to powerful in Japan shot for various magazines, such as Time, Sports Illustrated and JAL Skyward. The Sushi Bar will feature a collection of Japanese cityscapes, landscapes, and story images.

Jun Takagi

Jun Takagi is a Japanese-American. Born in New York City, Jun graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in photography. He has lived and worked in Japan for more than 20 years.

His work has appeared in countless publications, including: Time USA and Time Asia Magazine, JAL Skyward Magazine, Sports Illustrated, Saveur, Travel & Leisure, Budget Travel, Wired, The Wire, New York Magazine, Liv Volvo Magazine, BMW Magazine
