PROFESSIONAL LUNCHEON

Threats to the global economy and financial system
Charles Dallara, former senior US Treasury and IMF official

11:30-13:00 Thursday, November 10, 2022
Language: The speech and Q & A will be in English.

The state of the global economy and financial system is far from healthy, with parts of Europe moving toward recession and growth slowing sharply the US and China. Inflation –especially in energy and food– is rampant, with interest rates struggling to keep pace with rising costs. Equity and bond markets are in turmoil, currencies are extremely volatile, and risks of financial system instability are nearing the highest levels since the Global Financial Crisis of 2008.

Dr. Charles Dallara is no stranger to financial crises after a long career as a financier, banker, and former senior official of the US government and the IMF. Do not miss the opportunity of hearing what he has to say about the multiple economic and financial threats that the world faces.

Dallara is currently an Advisory Partner to Swiss-based private equity firm Partners Group and was formerly chairman of Partners Group USA. He is a member of the Middle East Investment Initiative and a director at large of the National Bureau of Economic Research.
