The Liberal Democratic Party's presidential election takes place on September 27th with what is likely to be the largest field of candidates in the party's history. At or near the top of most opinion polls on the Japanese public's choice for the leadership post is veteran LDP member—and frequent FCCJ visitor—Shigeru Ishiba. He is running for president for a fifth, and, he says, final time. Join FCCJ as Ishiba outlines his policy platform and strategy to win the support of his fellow LDP members.
