It's Saturday Nite Live!
Tango for Argentina
19:00 - 21:00, July 11, 2026

SNL celebrates Argentina's 210th Independence Day with a top tango trio!

Yuki Furuhashi (violin) performed classical music at the National Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires for four years and joined many top tango orchestras. She now leads her own tango ensemble, released "Morena" (Sony Music) and co-authored "Really Useful! 74 Violin Practice Methods" (Rittor Music Publishing).

Tatsunori Ikeda (bandoneon) leads tango group Mentao. His unique bandoneon sound, characterized by its depth and nuance, makes him a rare player who has studied and performed in Argentina.

Yui Fukamachi (piano) has studied and performed in Argentina three times and published a beginner's guide for adults titled "You Can Be a Pianist by Jiyu Gendai Sha."

The trio will perform: "La Cumparsita," "El Choclo," "Libertango," "Jealousy," "Aozora," "Ole Guappa," "Por Una Cabeza," "9 de Julio" and more…

And remember SNL is free for FCCJ members! For guests & non-members, there is a 1,000 yen music charge, an incredible bargain for Tokyo entertainment. Please note the charge will apply to all guests and non members who are in the SNL venue at any time after the commencement of the first set.
