PRESS CONFERENCE

The Monster of the Boxing Ring
Naoya Inoue, professional boxer, WBA・WBC・IBF unified bantamweight world champion

12:30-13:30 Monday, June 27, 2022
Language: The speech and Q & A will be in Japanese with English interpretation.

Naoya Inoue punched his way into the record books when he became the first Japanese fighter to hold a world title from three different sanctioning bodies with a second-round victory, by technical knockout, over Filipino-American Nonito Donaire at the Saitama Super Arena in June.

He added Donaire's WBC belt to his own WBA and IBF 118-pound straps with his fourth consecutive stoppage victory.

Known as "Monster", the unbeaten 29-year-old from Zama, Kanagawa Prefecture, is widely regarded as best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Now he is hoping to unify all four major bantamweight titles in a possible fight against the WBO bantamweight champion, the Englishman Paul Butler, later this year.

Inoue, who has finished 20 of his 23 professional fights inside the distance, will come to the Club to talk about his recent victory, his dominance in the ring and his plans for the future.
