Renowned Ukrainian singer, actress, and TV presenter Tina Karol recently arrived in Japan, the latest stop on a world tour, to raise awareness about the humanitarian crisis caused by Russia's invasion of Ukraine. During her stay in Tokyo, arranged by Rakuten, she met with senior Japanese business and political leaders and appeared at a charity event.
Before her departure on Monday, Ms. Karol will speak to the FCCJ about the situation on the ground in Ukraine and her meetings here in Japan. Sergiy Korsunsky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Japan, will also join this event.
Ms. Karol's 2006 song "Show Me Your Love", was Ukraine's entry in the 2006 Eurovision Song Contest. Since then, she has become a familiar face in her homeland, serving as a mentor on "The Voice of Ukraine" and as a judge at Vidbir, Ukraine's National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
