(The speech and Q&A will be in English)

Eighteen Ukrainian medical students, doctors and researchers (as of August 9) are being hosted by Juntendo University to enable them to continue their education and research, which was interrupted by the military invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

These doctors and students recently held a symposium – "Fight for life, health and future: the Ukrainian healthcare system in the Russia-Ukraine war" – during which they shared their firsthand knowledge of hospital and volunteer work during the conflict.

Three representatives of this group will come to the FCCJ to speak about providing medical assistance to citizens in war-torn Ukraine, especially to civilians with injuries suffered from the use of military weapons. With many hospitals having been targeted by Russia, their presentations will include harrowing photographs and videos taken by the doctors themselves, some of whom will soon return to their home country to once again aid the wounded.
