The Great Escape
The former Green Beret who engineered Carlos Ghosn's escape from Japan five years ago, Mike Taylor will address the FCCJ via Zoom to expose and condemn Japan's justice system.
Taylor and his son, Peter, were extradited from the U.S. in March 2021 and later convicted of aiding an immigration violation. For his role, the father endured 17 months in solitary confinement, during which he says he was denied bathing privileges for six and a half months and suffered frostbite, conditions widely regarded as torture.
Taylor is ready to share his experience and answer questions about his role in what is widely seen as one of the most audacious escapes in modern history.
