PRESS CONFERENCE
Where Is Journalism Heading in the Age of AI?
Natan Edelsburg, Chief Partnerships Officer, Muck Rack
15:00-16:00 Thursday, November 5, 2026
Language: The speech and Q & A will be in English.
As the world continues to shift toward artificial intelligence and ever more complex digital tools and systems, the news media stand at a crossroads. To talk about the future of journalism in the AI era, the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan will host a press conference by Natan Edelsburg, the chief partnerships officer at Muck Rack.
Muck Rack is a U.S.-based AI communications platform used by thousands of journalists in America and Europe to showcase their work and analyze news; public relations professionals use it to connect with journalists and media outlets. The company also compiles data about the media industry by conducting regular surveys of journalists on the impacts of AI, social media and PR.
Edelsburg will discuss the latest developments in the industry and how it has made use of AI, including such concepts as agentic AI, adaptive intelligence loops and journalism intelligence. We will have an opportunity to hear from Edelsburg, who writes frequently on the state of the media industry, while he is in Japan for the World Media Intelligence Congress in Tokyo.
