Saturday Lunch with Shakespeare: The Taming of the Shrew

“Shrew” is one of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, telling the story of the stubborn Katherine and her suitor Petruchio.
Produced and directed by Jonathan Miller, the performance includes John Cleese (of Monty Python fame) and Sarah Badel as Katherine.
Our presenter is Stuart Varnam- Atkin, standing in for Paul Snowden, who is indisposed. Oxford educated Stuart is a long-term Japan resident, who has carved out a unique career in Japanese media-related activities, including writing, translating, acting and TV work.
Doors open at 11:45 a.m. Lunch from 12:00 noon. The play, with a short intermission, will end at approximately 4.30 p.m.
Tickets including a sumptuous Italian lunch with focaccia, prosciutto, olives and dried tomatoes, pork cheese cutlet and panna cotta dessert are 3,300 yen for FCCJ members (tax included) and 4,400 yen for non- members (tax included).
