Celebrate Valentine's Day with a magical evening of music and fine dining at the perennially popular dinner-concert series featuring the Tokyo Sinfonia. Join us on Friday, February 14, at the FCCJ for an unforgettable night that blends the art of music with exquisite cuisine.
This special Valentine's program is a passionate tribute to love, weaving the timeless story of Romeo & Juliet into a harmonious journey of sound and flavor. Under the masterful direction of Maestro Robert Ryker, the evening pairs a carefully curated menu by Executive Chef Otake with three unique musical interpretations of the eternal love story.
The Romeo & Juliet Valentine Serenade
Appetizer: Octopus and Potato Salad with Roasted Paprika Dressing
Paired with Romance and Scherzo from Hector Berlioz's symphonie-dramatique Romeo and Juliet.
Main Course: Chicken Cacciatora with Bulgur
Accompanied by Piotyr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's passionate fantasy-overture Romeo and Juliet.
Dessert: Mousseline Gateau Chocolate “Valentine”
Concluding with selections from West Side Story, Leonard Bernstein’s Broadway reimagining of the Romeo & Juliet tale.
Each part of the meal is interwoven with live, intimate performances by the Tokyo Sinfonia's illustrious strings, bringing the music to life in an atmosphere of warmth and elegance.
