FCCJ Deep Dive Series 2021:
Japan and Asia Property Markets- The Pandemic Impact
8:30-10:00, Wednesday, June 9, 2021
(The presentation and Q & A will be in English.)

The FCCJ's recently introduced Deep Dive series offers in-depth perspectives from leading experts on key business and social issues.

The Covid-19 pandemic has wrought significant damage to many areas of economic activity, not least being those of tourism, retail trade and commerce and business in general. The real estate sector has been an indirect victim as a result of plunging hotel and department store income and sales plus a significant swing from office work to working at home.

What impact has this had on rental incomes, capital values and investment in the commercial and also residential property sectors in Tokyo and other major Asian capital cities - and what is the outlook for the future?

Deep Dive has invited two leading experts to evaluate the impact and outlook.

  • Seth Sulkin, President and CEO, Pacifica Capital K.K. Tokyo. Member of Executive Committee of Urban Land Institute, Japan.
  • Ken Negishi, Executive Director, Head of Capital Markets Japan, Jones Lang LaSalle K.K. Tokyo
