After three troublesome years of Covid, the Imperial Theater will stage a spectacular come-back with the gorgeous production of a show set in the legendary Moulin Rouge of Paris in the 1890's.
Futo Nozomi, a former Takarazuka top star plays the role of Satine, the star of the famed Moulin Rouge, while Yoshio Inoue, the king of Japan's musical world takes the part of Christian, a young American novelist who falls in love with her.
When Harold Zidler, owner of the Moulin Rouge, tries to arrange a relationship between a wealthy aristocrat and Satine to finance his failing night club, the young novelist assembles Toulouse-Lautrec and other bohemians to create a new exciting show to attract the bigger audience and save the club.

3年のコロナ禍明けを祝って、帝国劇場は1890年パリを騒がせたド派手で豪華な「ムーラン・ルージュ」を東京に再現します。
ナイトクラブの主役サティーンを演ずるのは元宝塚トップスター望海 風斗、その恋人アメリカ人の小説家クリスチャンは日本のミュージカル界トップスター井上 芳雄。
クラブのオウナーはサティーンを金持ち貴族の持ち物にして破産を免れようと企むが、クリスチャンはムーランルージュを愛する絵描きロートレックやボヘミアン仲間と協力して大衆を呼び込む斬新なショーを生み出してクラブを救います。
ムーラン・ルージュ名物のカン・カンはステージ上のみ。一緒に客席で踊らないでください。
