Ukraine 1,000 Days of War
As the war in Ukraine nears its 1,000th day, Russia is building up troops on the southern front, while stepping up its aerial bombardments of the country. Since Russia's invasion in February 2022, some 10,000 North Korean troops have now joined in the war, while concern is growing about continued U.S. commitment to Ukraine with the election of Donald Trump as president.
A majority of Ukrainians oppose giving up any land in a possible peace deal, while President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is making a remote address to European parliament to commemorate the 1,000 day. Here in Tokyo, Ukrainian Ambassador Sergiy Korsunsky will join us at the FCCJ to mark the date and share the latest from Kyiv and the front lines. The nation's defense ministers met last month, and Japan pledged to supply more SDF vehicles to Ukraine and continue to support the nation in coordination with the international community, while the respective heads of state met in September at the United Nations.
Please make your reservations to learn the latest from Ukraine and the outlook for the war and peace ahead.
