The FCCJ will host the manager and members of the 2024 Japan Series champions, the Yokohama DeNA BayStars, on November 12 at 15:00. With an incredible comeback that initially saw the team barely make the playoffs, Yokohama defeated the Hanshin Tigers, Yomiuri Giants, and Fukuoka Softbank Hawks to capture the Japanese baseball crown for the first time in 26 years.
Manager Daisuke Miura, a member of the 1998 championship team, and team members will come to the Club and share how Yokohama overcame the odds and swept the last four games of the Japan Series, including a 11-2 thrashing of the Hawks in the final game.
The 2024 team slogan was "All for the Win," and despite a .507 winning percentage during the regular season, the lowest in Japanese baseball history for a champion, it barreled ahead to make history. Ahead of a fan festival later this month, the BayStars' victory lap will include the FCCJ on Tuesday, so make your reservation for a bleacher seat at the Club today.
